Although most of Haydn’s works do not
include a clarinet, Mr. Wolfgang Klinser is an important member of the Haydn
Orchestra. Born in 1965 at Kirchendorf/Krems in Lower Austria, Mr. Klinser
studied Clarinet in Vienna under Professor Horst Hajek. Since 1987 he has
played with the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonic State
Orchestra Hamburg, and the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra. Mr. Klinser is
also a member of the Vienna Chamber Orchestra.
Not only playing in the
orchestra, Mr. Klinser frequently appears as a soloist in clarinet concertos.
In the past he has played with Camerata Salzburg at the 2001 Salzburg
Festival, and the Vienna Chamber Orchestra conducted by Heinrich Schiff.
Last year he played Weber’s clarinet concerto with the Haydn Orchestra under
the baton of Christopher Hogwood.
Since 2003 he has taught at Graz
