Following members had deceased

Wilhelm Hübner - Violin

Wilhelm Hubner Prof. Wilhelm Hübner was for many years chairman of the Vienna Philharmonic. Also, NHK Symphony Orchestra in Japan had strongly requested and he had worked as the concert master one year. Together with Mr. Fischer, he made a lot of effort founding the Haydn Orchestra and he made the fundamentals of it. In 1993 he toured Japan with the Haydn Orchestra. Not only leading the orchestra as the assistant principal second player of Violin section, he intro-duced Japanese culture to the members, showing his experience of eating Japanese turtle dishes.

He passed away July 1, 1996

Gustav Swoboda - Violin

Gustav Swoboda Prof. Gustav Swoboda, as well as Prof. Hübner, was a member of Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra for many years. After retirement he had taught in Musikhochschule in Vienna as a Professor. So, he was called "Professor" and familiar with Mr. Fischer and the members of the Orchestra. He was one of the original member of Haydn Orchestra and was very important player, so even last year, he sat in the second row of the first violins, and sometimes consulted with other member about the adjustment of violin. He was the first orchestra member that I met. When I visited Haydnsaal first time, I was in trouble since somebody locked the exit of auditorium, then he came smiling and kindly showed another exit at the back stage.

He passed away Spring of 1996.

János Papp - Violin

J?os Papp

Mr. Janos Papp had passed away on May 11, 1999 because of  heart attack.   He was one of original members of Haydn Orchestra. He he had been a member of   Hungarian State Symphony Orchestra.   Not only playing, he was a good violin teacher who even composed some etude for violin.
