Mr. Peter Ligeti, the principal viola player, also serves for
the Hungarian National Philharmonic (former Hungarian State Symphony orchestra) as the
principal. He uses a modern instrument for orchestra performances, but he also uses an
authentic instrument when he plays with the Festetics Quartet. He was born in 1948 and
is currently a resident of the Buda area. Although he is a quiet person, he is a very
important leader of the viola section and shows a strong leadership. He is a good friend
of principal cello player ReszˇPertorini, who is also a member of Festetics Quartet.
