Since its foundation, the Haydn Orchestra has been engaged in a long project, recording the entire Haydn Symphony with Nimbus records. Now, after 14 years of hard work, they have finally completed their mission. Over ten days in early May at Haydnsaal they recorded the symphonies 30 to 39 and a new version of No88. All 106 symphonies, including two without numbers, are now recorded. The final set, Volume Two, will include symphonies No. 21 to 39 and the unnumbered two. Some of them were recorded more than 10 years ago with harpsichord. Since then Adam Fischer has changed style and others have a different interpretation, without harpsichord. Listeners can compare the difference on the same CD. Volume Two is currently being edited and is due to be released in October. The new version of No. 88 will be included in the entire set for comparison with the earlier version.
At the time of writing, the Haydn Orchestra has no further recordings planned. Adam Fischer himself has a recording contract with Danish Radio.

Because of Adam Fischer's engagement at Bayreuth, new conductors joined the Haydn
Orchestra on its Summer Tour. In Athens on August 1 and 2, the pianist Philippe Entremont
conducted the London Symphony. The Oratorio "The Seasons" in London (August 8)
and New York (August 12) was led by Bach specialist Helmut Rilling and the concert in New
York the following night was conducted by Bruno Weil.

This summer Adam Fischer and Haydn Orchestra have been very busy because of the many
summer music festivals. Adam's Bayreuth engagement to replace Giuseppe Sinopoli brought
wholesale changes to the summer schedule. Fans who were looking forward to concerts by the
Haydn Orchestra with Adam Fischer might be disappointed. But this is a very special case
and we hope they understand. It is also difficult for the Haydn Orchestra to play with
many new guest conductors.
We will write soon about these summer festivals, especially Adam Fischer's Bayreuth debut.
The first cycle has already started and initial reports indicate is has been very
successful. Radio broadcasts are scheduled for August in Europe. The next issue of Baratom
will also carry reports on the annual Haydntage.
