Total 9 cycles of "Ring des Nibelungen"

Although known as a Haydn Mozart specialist, Adam Fischer had broken new ground with Wagner in 2001. Following the big success of Bayreuth, he successfully conducted one cycle of the "Ring des Nibelungen". There were some late cancellations, including Wotan in "Siegfried" and Brunhilde of "Götterdämmerung". However, the orchestra covered the accident. It was his 9th cycle since October 2000. All the performances have been very successful not only artistically but also commercially. It is a big achievement. In 2002, Adam Fischer will conduct the "Ring" at Bayreuth, Mannheim and the Vienna State Opera. "Parsifal" is also planned at Mannheim.

Other than Wagner, Adam Fischer has conducted some other romantic pieces, such as Bartok's "Bluebeard's Castle", and Richard .Strauss "Der Rosenkavalier".
