Adam Fischer's New CDs

As we informed you earlier, Cecilia Bartoli and Adam Fischer have recorded Salieri arias. The CD "The Salieri Album" is now available from Decca. The album consists of 13 pieces, including 10 world premiere recordings. Because of the famous movie "Amadeus", the name of Salieri is known as the murderer of Mozart. Unfortunately his music was not so well known until now. This new CD proves that Salieri, too was a first class composer of the 18th century . The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightment conducted by Adam Fischer supports Bartoli to express her emotion with her full capability. Many critics all over the world have already applauded the CD which got good reviews from New York Times to the New Zealand Herald. It is already a top seller.

Although the CD is not only by Adam Fischer, there is another recording. "The Vienna State Opera year book 2003" published by the Friends of Vienna State Opera includes a CD of live recordings made during the season. In this CD we can hear three arias from "Andrea Ch?ier" conducted by Adam Fischer. The book contains interviews with Ioan Holender and Seiji Ozawa, some articles and a record of all performances during the 2002/2003 season. The book is on sale in Vienna.
