Editorial Note

Immediately after announcing the plan of Haydntage 2007, the Haydnfestspiele in Eisenstadt started preparation for the Haydn year 2009. There will be some concerts around the 200th anniversary of his death 31st May 2009, as well as extended Haydntage 2009. Of course Adam Fischer and the Haydn Orchestra are the main ensemble of the project. 2009 will be a very busy year for everybody.

Not only concert activities, there will be a lot of CD and DVD new releases. After Manon, the Vienna State Opera production of “The Bartered Bride” is also scheduled. We can see young Adam Fischer conducting in this DVD.
